About Canopy Way of Amelia, Inc

Canopy Way of Amelia is a nonprofit organization devoted to supporting individuals and families impacted by dementia while working to make Amelia Island FL a recognized dementia-friendly community. We believe that everyone—regardless of age or cognitive ability—deserves dignity, inclusion, and meaningful connection.

Our mission is carried out through a range of educational speaker series, caregiver resources, and public awareness campaigns designed to reduce stigma and foster understanding around Alzheimer’s and related dementias. 

As part of a growing movement toward dementia-friendly communities, Canopy Way of Amelia collaborates with local businesses, civic leaders, healthcare providers, and residents to create safer, more supportive environments for those living with memory loss. Whether you’re a caregiver, healthcare professional, neighbor, or someone newly facing a diagnosis, we are here to walk alongside you with compassion, education, and purpose.
